Summer in Kansas City: Kinda Nice!!!

I was thinking that last summer, what with the whole racist Semler debacle, was kind of a pain in the ass. I had tons of stuff to blog but I wasn't in such a great mood thanks to the Mayor backing a racist lady and her small gang of vigilantes in training.

This Summer, however has been remarkably pleasant by contrast. Sure, there's the same old ineffectual leadership but not nearly as much acrimony from people who pretend to understand macroeconomics or geopolitics (I include myself in that group) . . . Anyhoo, that was just a pleasant thought I was sharing with this homeless guy who stumbles down my block every evening. Of course he agreed with me but I had to give him two bucks. He also says that the Downtown Renaissance is going brilliantly and yesterday a JoCo white woman (my guess) gave him a fin right before he had a really great bowel movement (a rarity) in a downtown alley.

Things certainly are looking up!!!
