Overheard from Gov. Blunt

Once again, Gov. Blunt was caught playing dodge ball by local media people.

Normally, Cable news doesn't bother giving a contrasting opinion when it come to immigration rhetoric. Faux-Populist chatter is always given heaps of airtime while any rational, coherent or informed view is cast aside.

In fact, media would rather hear from open borders wackos then hear a discussion of facts.

It turns out that politicos are the same . . . Last night A BUNCH OF NEWSIES overheard Blunt respond to news that Mike Talboy might be debating him on second half of Lou Dobbs show:
"If Talboy is going to be on the program, then I'm not showing up." is what the Gov. said according to newsies who like to gossip with TKC.
This provides a bit of explanation as to why the Gov's career has been so horrible. He just doesn't like to be challenged or even questioned. Think about it: The Gov. doesn't want to answer questions from a FRESHMAN State Rep . . . It just doesn't look good and it's a clear sign that anti-immigration forces don't want a Democratic dialogue, they simply want their dictates carried out without question.

  1. I would like to have a couple of tallboys with Mike Talboy. Seems like a good guy.

  2. Talboy is a decent guy but the Blunt appearance was overrated Tony. It was nothing but the Guv patting himself on the back for doing stuff that was already on the books.

  3. The laws were good, the effort is commendable. Guess it's back to Juarez for you Tony.

  4. You said it yourself Tony. Talboy is a freshman rep. Why would a sitting governor debate an unknown newbie who didn't even consider himself a Latino until he decided to run for office.

  5. Why wouldn't he? That's the more important question. Gov. Blunt hasn't liked to defend any of his policies.

And everyone knew Talboy was a Latino.

  6. "And everyone knew Talboy was a Latino."

Everybody apparently except Mike. You obviously didn't know him back in his conservative days. Sheesh you voters are like dumb sheep.

  7. What conservative days? Went to college with the guy and he has been pretty far left for as long as I can remember. Made me feel moderate during our discussions in class.

  8. Okay maybe conservative was a poor choice of words. I knew him when he was white and didn't roll his r's when he got around Latinos.

  9. Funny and way off. Community knew he was Latino before he ever started running. He was up front with his heritage and referenced it in discussions as far back as our soph year. Not sure I have ever heard him roll r's in front of any group, Latino or otherwise, other than during a the proper pronunciation of countries.

Bottom line. Just listen to the guy and look at what he has done before and since being elected. The guy is a true champion for Latinos and progressives.

  10. Typical of when you have someone doing a good job that someone is going to nitpick them down. Never met the guy. Shows up in some Star articles and I like some of the things he says.

  11. Allie Zaror (not sure if this is how you spell your name) stop hiding behind this anonymous blog. You've had a hard-on for Mike for years. Get over it! You are not a viable candidate, no one will ever vote for you and not one respectable Dem or Repub wants anything to do with you. You really are sad.

  12. Latino or otherwise who cares. Talboy is doing a great job and really has fought for Kansas City and never stops fighting for whats right. We need more progressives like him and Beth Low. Everyone would benefit.

  13. Annon 10:44am - You should just ask him. Gives his cell number to all his constituents. I was shocked when I called on a weekend, thought it was his office.

  14. Talboy has never attempted to hide his heritage or ethnicity. Plus, the only "r" rolling I've ever heard him do is when is pronouncing someone's name correctly. Jealousy gets you nowhere. Leave the guy alone - he's doing an awesome job!

1)Could Baby Blunt have a Mexican "friend"
    2)Explains why he's hiding all those e-mails.
3)And Could explain all his "hidden" anger to Mexicans and brown people in General.
4)One of these things don't belong togehter..Kris Kobach, Baby Blunt, Gary Leezak, and a Straight Guy.

  16. Then I say don't show up Blunt! While not showing up go get a bottle of Go Fuck Yourself!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I have met Mike. He is a really good person who believes in serving all of his constituents. I would have no problem voting for him again. As for Blunt I'm glad I won't have the chance to vote agaisnt him.

  18. Talboy is doing great! Is Lou Dobbs actually going to put him on the air? I thought KKK Members were the only people allowed to talk on that show?

    Go get 'em Mike!

  19. I would call Blunt a P/ssy but since he takes it in the butt asshole works better.
