I'm not 100% sure (99.9%) but it looks like one of my favorite Star writers (Girlfriend in my mind) JeneƩ Osterheldt was celebrating this weekend after avoiding the ax that fell upon some of her colleagues. She deserves it!!! It must take a lot of work writing the "Sex and the silly" column for Kansas City's paper of record.
At any rate, she picked a good occasion . . . Over the weekend, an 80's hip-hop party in Kansas City was the probably the best event in town for those people who like to listen to decent music and not just gawk at the JoCo women in the P&L District wearing those dresses that look like colorful burlap sacks . . . As with most must-see Kansas City hip-hop events, it was put together by KC rapper Reach.
Here are a few more photos, for the rest of the set provided by the promoters check out their gallery:
Let's hear it for Hoopz!!! An inspiration to Kansas City writers regarding the relative merit of their work!!!
The only way that hack JeneƩ Osterheldt could possibly be an inspiration is that whenever anyone literate reads her column they have to think, "Shit, I sure could do better than this silly ho."
ReplyDeleteNice cans on that one on the right. She's a little big but I'll do my best.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I'll bet that it's quite a show when those hangers are unfurled.
ReplyDeleteThere is some serious high-level physics at play in keeping those blouseclowns elevated.
I think that the Star is afraid to fire a black columnist. It appears that all of the ones let go are white. I don't care what color the columnists are, but all of them are far-left, so they all should go.
ReplyDeleteTony, thanks for covering this event. It really was a good time and an example that Kansas City's hip-hop community can get together for a good time without incident.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't you normally describe a theme night as a hipster occasion Tony? I understand the bias because you like rap music but I just wanted to point it out. Personally I think this party was a pretty good idea but you didn't tell us anything about the music at the event. Was it 80's rap or pop? Real reporters provide a little bit more detail T.
ReplyDeleteCute. She'd never go out with you.
ReplyDeleteSo you make a throwaway post to feature pictures of a vacuous wanna-be (but I'm the right race) feature writer. You know Tony, not all of us have a picture of here in our left hands. And true to you, you put a chick with a bunch of mams up there. Who would want to see that breasticular junk live and in person?
ReplyDeleteDudes that hang out at porno shops.
FS13 you are obviously a fag.
ReplyDeleteYes homo on you.
T keep up the cleavage or I'll start reading Prime Buzz again.
For the chick in the green, the extra makeup takes away from the rack. That's a lot of cake batter in one spot. Take that away, and I'm afraid you're looking at a female Frank Gorshin.
ReplyDeleteAs for the brunette with Jenee in the first photo ... there you go. Natural and quite pretty.
Agreed. Cake batter is not cool unless I'm making it.
ReplyDeleteI had to look up Frank Gorshin. But after I did, it was LOLZ all around.
ReplyDeleteI'm not gonna lie to you, I'd still give it a push...but I'm in a real slump.
OMG the comments have degenerated around here to something delicious.
ReplyDeletefuck sike's dikes. sike looks like a large whoopi goldberg sista. mark ass hipsters. you all suck and shouldnt be allowed to congrigate, not because it wont be peacefull, just because there is so much "mc" on "mc" dick sucking goin on. respect to maybe 1 person that showed up to that event. fuckin bastards.
ReplyDeleteFunny, how "ignorant" some people truly are these days! Pretty brave you are posting under anonymous... Ignorance isn't bliss.... How pathetic! Let's see your picture and then dictate our opinions about you....
ReplyDeleteok slut, i just tried, they wouldnt let me upload a pic of my brown eye anus for you to look at. what does pics have to do with you and your crew being the wackest shit out there for 5 years. you are so FAKE!
ReplyDeleteBeing a different "anonymous" than up there....
ReplyDeleteHow can you say anything about posting anonymous? The name "Jennifer" doesn't exactly pinpoint you either.
Now my god damn opinion: Hipsters showed up out of thin air within the last 4 years. No, Hip Hop has never been a large community in KC, but at least it was real 5-6 years ago. My culture is not a fucking trend. I see herbs like the one wearing the I <3 NY shirt, and feel betrayed, lost, and out of my mind. What the fuck is this fake ass doing at a hip hop show? I'll tell you. He's POSING. He's there to get that very picture taken of him "at a hip hop" show. He is there to be seen. Am i suprised? no. Am i fed up? fuck yeah. KC hip hop is a hipster circus now. He should take his lensless, thick framed aviators and join the rest of his "homies" every show at the peanut, record bar, or riot room for the same shit every week. I WILL NEVER ACCEPT WACKNESS. I WILL NEVER ACCEPT THESE POSERS:

ReplyDeletethis is the other anonymous.
that bitch is ugly, tony, you think she's got a quality poon underneath that thrift store catholic school uniform dress? i heard she's got a nasty stink box. what a cunt.
To those of you who like to disrespect women...you have that right. It is a free country and anyone can say what they want. My question to "Anonymous" is this...does every person in New York that wears an I Love New York t-shirt make you feel betrayed? Did you start the trend? Are you from New York? What difference does it make that someone decided to wear that shirt to an 80's party? Second, did you go? No....if you did you would know that the dj's played everything from Talking Heads to old school hip hop. Yes it was a show for the Soul Providers to get up and perform some songs, but that wasn't the whole purposed of the party! For someone who thinks everyone is "posing", you are one to talk. Someone who supports hip hop should shut up and support it. What made you think that this Jennifer girl is part of what you call a "crew"? Does someone who goes to the peanut to listen to good music and hear great dj's have to be in a "crew"? And what exactly does hip hop look like? Your mad that someone who doesn't look the part is posing...what exactly does that part look like? Please let me know...before I leave my house and look like an idiot "posing"!? As far as the girl in the green...soemone who has such negative things to say has either been dissed by her, or doesn't think he has the chance at all! As far as the make-up...that's how it was worn in the 80's...or did you forget that's what kind of party it was? You obviously have some issues with some people...maybe it's better you keep yourself "anonymous", that might keep you from being known as a poser and you smile in peoples faces and then post shit so that they don't know who you are!
