Kansas Bloggers and Big Defense Contracts

On the national scene there was a lot of talk about a $35 billion Air Force tanker refueling contract involving Boeing Co. which just happens have large plants employing thousands of workers in Kansas. Of course, there's a lot of strong sentiment to strengthen the stakes of a regional employer.

Kansas Bloggers and Big Defense Contracts

Here's what local bloggers had to contribute:

  • Stay Red Kansas: "While Kansas Democrats were busy pointing fingers, these two public servants went to work to give our men and women in uniform the best Tanker possible, which is the Boeing Tanker built by Kansas workers."

  • Score A Point For U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts

  • The Kansas Citian: "Did you hear that? It's as if several thousand people suddenly exhailed in relief all at once." (Technically, not a Kansas Blogger if he lives in KCMO but close enough)

And actually, all of these posts were kind of nice, very much like cheering for the home team . . . Too bad nobody from KC Proper really cares about cheering for an anchor tenant at The Sprint Center with as much passion . . . But then again, maybe everyone already realizes it's a lost cause.

    1. 35 billion could be used for lightrail.

See there are better alternatives other than lightrail.
