Strange Day Already

Strangely, I've had no less than 3 ex-girlfriends contact me because of this blog. They all think that they're the ex I'm deriding in my acerbic posts lashing out at womankind. They're all correct.

My least favorite former love (ugh) dropped me a line this morning and told me to call her. The details of the conversation were boring and not appropriate for this blog . . . Besides, she obviously didn't miss me that much or she would have accepted my offer of phone sex . . . It gets lonely down here in my mom's basement sometimes.

Anyhoo, for some strange reason communication with any of the old-school TKC DNA receptacles makes me think of one of my favorite songs from 2004.

The tune is entitled "The Space Between" and the lyrics that stand out the most to me today are:

Now that I've seen you
Stripped to the very core
I know that I need you
Less than I did before

Ah yes, no blog is complete without the overwrought revelation of personal details accompanied by song lyrics. I just didn't want readers around this dump to feel left out and Zero 7 deserve a lot more airplay here in the States.

Of course none of this stuff is related to current events in this cowtown other than the fact that I think most local blog posts regarding romantic relationships reveal that Kansas City is the kind of place where somebody gets left behind.

  1. Zero 7 is awesome. They've spawned the careers of several of their vocalists. Sia Furler, Mozez, and others. All awesome.

I have all 3 of their albums.

  2. Maybe one of your Ex's could spill some dirt on the nasty fat bastard living in his mom's basement.

  3. Aw, Tony. You're so cute and cuddly when you show your sensitive side. I'm guessing that you aren't the horrible bastard in real life that you pretend to be on the blog.
