Sarah Steelman says Missouri is missing out on as much as $49 million a year from illegal immigrants not paying income taxes . . . Not only is she forgetting about increased sales tax and Social Security revenue that illegal immigrants create while citing her incorrect data but also she might also be forgetting about her attempts to raid student loan funds AND THE FACT THAT SHE TOOK CONTRIBUTIONS FROM COMPANIES WHO HIRED ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!!!!
Also forgetting that many, if not most, immigrant workers here are subject to all the same payroll taxes that we are - state and federal - but rarely or never file a tax return, which would most likely give them much of that money back. In that case, the state keeps it.
