Any person who has a reasonable understanding about the world knows that the Plaza isn't a place that's just about X-mas lights and luxury shopping . . . It's Kansas City's poser capital and it now seems just as sleazy and drug-infested as any other part of this cowtown.
Recently, Jacques Lavigne WHO IS 64 (!!!) pleaded guilty to dealing drugs and MAKING $1 MILLION IN PROFIT since he began selling cocaine from his Country Club Plaza home at the Locarno Apartments in the early 1990s.
Obviously, this is an impressive case for local authorities but what it really means is that demand for drugs is high (heh) on the Plaza. The details of the story reveal that this guy was a high roller who was catering to Kansas City's upper class as evidenced by his purchase of big screen TVs, luxury car, diamonds and art.
Once again this story provides even more proof that not all of the drug addicts in this town are minorities living in urban slums or poor white people cooking up meth in rural trailers as the media suggests . . . Nope, the most profitable drug trade in town seems to have been catering to the demands of decadent Plaza dwellers and their addictions in place that was built on restrictive racial covenants.
The word is 'pleads' not 'pleas'
ReplyDeleteThank you sir!!! Fixed within less than 30 minutes of your comment. You can't get a pizza faster than that.
ReplyDeleteI would assume there are more drug addicts that have money than those that don't have money.
ReplyDeleteDuh.
You've obviously don't come into contact with many drug addicts.
ReplyDeleteCount your blessings, keep your mouth shut when you don't know what you're talking about.
In 15 years, he only made a million bucks profit? That's only 70K a year. That's like busting the dorm dealer at college.
ReplyDeleteIf old Jack had any brains, he would have just got himself a frigging job.
