The current debate over Kansas City's budget provides a place where this town determines its priorities and once again Mayor Funkhouser proves that he doesn't care about people who don't unquestioningly support him.
The Mayor is pandering to planted supporters at community meetings, his suburban hit squad who don't care about KC and really only approve of his whiteness along with the talk radio crowd who can't be bothered to get into the boring details of the budget.
To better understand that situation here are some of the details of Mayor Funky's Massive Cuts:
What strikes me as the biggest betrayal is his effort to purge employees at City Hall!!! Already the rumor is out there that this is payback for all of the people who didn't show him the proper amount of respect when he was City Auditor. In essence this move is akin to a disgruntled employee back on the premises to take out former colleagues. Mayor Funky is pushing a mindless massacre of City Hall jobs that would not only cripple Kansas City services but would promote the same kind of bunker mentality that exists in the mind of Funky Bunch loyalists. It's a panic driven, vindictive move. Nothing more.
But it gets worse . . . Mayor Funky is clandestinely pushing the Prison Industrial Complex on the po'folk (mostly minorities) in Kansas City and touts a private (read: corporate) takeover the City Jail while ignoring the rehab programs and employees of the facility.
Wait there's more:
There's a cutback on security: Funky recommends consolidating the North Patrol station with airport police.
Mayor Funky is also thinking about cutting funding for Kansas City streets, intentionally backtracking on his phony talk of maintenance and upkeep: Funky recommends reducing boulevard maintenance spending by about $1 million.
And then there's the proposed consolidation of youth advocacy programs taking money away from the same kids he keeps endlessly referring to . . . Not to mention he's in favor of cutting out the Zoo as well.
So what does this mean?
Put simply, Mayor Funky doesn't care about the people of Kansas City or the damage that his panic inspired cuts will create . . . Rather than take a reasoned approach and work toward a compromise he's insulting the people on the City Council as HE ARROGANTLY GRADES THEIR PERFORMANCE (Professor Funky gave them a C-plus) and then shills to his former campaign workers who are not so secretly called to all of his community meetings in order to fake public support. TKC learned about this trick from one of the many pissed off City Hall Employees who are now providing regular info alerts to TKC. THANK YOU!!!
What Kansas City is stuck with is basically EVIL SPOCK!!!
During the campaign, Funkhouser promised a logical, rational approach to City Government and now that he's in office he has delivered nothing but cold, cruel and stubborn actions and statements. I've always said this town deserves better and now more and more people who find themselves on the chopping block are seeing that Mayor Funky and his Shoeless wife have gone mad with power like a bad Star Trek episode.

Law abiding citizens in North Kansas City are tired of paying taxes out the ass and employing porn pushing, pediphile city workers. Funkhouser is the only one who seems to care about this city. Wayne Cauthen only care about his cronies. Why else would he be lining their pockets when the city is in a budget deficit.
ReplyDeleteIf Tony had a brain in his head, he would realize these cuts are necessary. This city has so many programs for the lazy inbreeds it pathetic. The city should provide basic services like infastructure, trash, fire and police services. All these other programs that cater to low lives should be cut. I support and provide for my family so should they. If you cannot afford to have kids and DON'T HAVE THEM. Why should I pay for your little hoodlums. Quit living off the backs of other people and get a Frickin LIFE!!!
Everyone is feeling the crunch these days. With gas prices going over $4.00 a gallon this summer and the Federal Gov't raping the middle class, enough is enough.
When the idiots at city hall shell out millions of dollars to their corrupt partners (Perfect Output) you wonder why we are in a deficit. It's funny how you give Wayne Cauthen a pass for paying out MILLIONS of dollars to another crook at Perfect Output. But when Funk says "Fine, now we have to lay off city workers because you idiots don't know how to manage money, you get your panties in a wad.
The deficit falls on the shoulders of Wayne Cauthen!!! And Funkhouser is getting chastised for trying to fix it. But I wouldn't expect anything less from a retard like Tony... frickin moron

Tony, if you had ever worked for the City, you would know that at least half of the employees are either unneeded or incompetent anyway. This is the result of the City having been the employer of last resort for the last 70 some years and the sacred cow phenomenon. Not to mention "bureaucratic reform" efforts (now there's an oxymoron of the first order) that piled on additional management layers that have never been removed.
