Lots of great, depressing bad news in The Star today, it's nice to see there's no more talk of "economic resiliency" as a great many writers do their very best to imitate Steinbeck, especially when noting all of the vacant Eastside lots in this town that everybody else has been talking about for the past 5 years.

If it is vacant than start tearing down large sections and rebuilding it. How low do we have to allow the area to drop?
ReplyDeleteUm, where is Eastside leadership? Hello? Anyone?
Guess now's the time to buy up all those lots - the lending rate is low, no real estate is moving, and no one wants to move into anything east of Troost.
ReplyDeleteSmart investors, take note! - Our city is for sale.
Hmmmm... I wonder why? I guess the black economic stimulas package of drugs and nappy headed prostitutes didn't pan out.
ReplyDeleteGee... there's a surprise.
It's funny how all the neighborhoods up north are thriving. Could it be that we work hard for what we have... and give back to our communities.
Hmmmm interesing concept. Maybe kids in the Kansas City school district need to beat on their drums a little more... maybe that will learn them enough to turn things around.
Doubt it... but it was funny.
