Hey, where did the hipsters go?

Chronic runs Popfree radio, one of the best local music outlets in Kansas City.

When he sent me an e-mail to inform me that The Pitch site went down I figured he was just smoking something other that the stuff that provides tax funding for the war in Iraq.

Well, not it turns out he's right.

The Pitch is offline. (11:17 a.m.)

So is the (s)plog.

I can only hope that they're coming back with some kind of fancy new design that's nothing more than a glorified version of a blog done in typead or wordpress that any college freshman with a laptop could create . . . Still, I hope that all is well and they can continue to publish the "alternative" news with a staff comprised almost completely of white hipsters that come from middle-class backgrounds.

C'mon Pitch, we're rooting for you!!!

  2. Sheesh! Don't ya know that The Pitch went out of business 'cause Funkhummer hired the rest of the Pitch's staff to handle his bad p.r. nightmare.

Next week we can expect to hear that the unmarked graves of Confederate soldiers shot leaving a male brothel have been located under the Missouri Ethics Commission. With everyone in a tizzy about those swishy sons of the South, attention will shift from the campaign money.

When someone later remembers about the campaign money investigation, Funkhummer's media commandos will strike with their second wave: announcing that there never were Confederate graves and that it was all just a journalistic joke. Then everyone will have a good laugh and wonder what the ethics commission was investigating in the first place.
