DOWNTOWN IS STILL DANGEROUS!!! Electric Avenue: Not just financially unsound!!!

You'll probably get killed in the P&L District . . . At least if you operate under the assumptions that are propagandized by Kansas City's paper of record and other Downtown Renaissance cheerleaders.

Check it:
A robbery victim mugged at gunpoint warns downtown party-goers about crime in the new Kansas City Power & Light entertainment district.

"I had my guard down because I thought where I was was safe," said the victim, who did not want to be identified. "I figured it would be a safe place to go, you know, but apparently not."
Still, Kansas City's Mayor doesn't think that crime is a subject that should rank in his top 5 priorities.

And, unfortunately Kansas City is still on the hook for MILLIONS worth of bonds for the P&L District that's not only incomplete but also seems to be a lot more dangerous than folks had initially suspected.

All things considered, just as TKC and SO MANY OTHERS had warned: Downtown Cheerleading won't stop crime and if the Mayor is more concerned about imaginary light rail than other realties this city is facing . . . It's not just people who are really in trouble, but also Economic Development which is far more important!!!

  1. You're probably more likely to get killed by an illegal alien driver.

Hey Tony, how come you're not writing about the illegal who hit the school bus in Minnesota and killed four innocent kids and maimed several others????
