Like Obi-Wan Kenobi's final battle, it's nice to try and pull some small victory out of a defeat but Missouri Republicans attempting to portray Gov. Blunt's early concession as some kind of inspiring move are probably delusional.
And what was Kraske smoking in reporting this obvious and clumsy spin without many questions?
They're talking up Jim Talent as a "strong candidate" (WTF???) - The guy couldn't even beat a woman and that's the typical measure of a man's strength in Missouri.
The no name candidates with zero recognition across the state, little support and few connections don't really stand a chance.
This isn't a even a race anymore . . . Mean spirited Republican mismanagement of Missouri politics has finally taken it's toll. This isn't a call for Jay Nixon to get complacent but unless he suddenly reveals that one of his ancestors was a Mexican . . . The guy is going to be Missouri's next Governor.
Talent lost to HOLDEN, struggled to get past Jean Carnahan and then lost to Claire: sounds like someone the Chiefs would trade for and build the team around.
ReplyDeleteWell, come to think of it, Carl is a big Republican.
It was like La Raza losing to Funkhouser.
ReplyDeleteTony you do remember that Obi-wan was one of the good guys in Star Wars?
