The title that TKC gave to Kansas City's team sometime around mid-season has now been confirmed. There is no football team worse than the Kansas City Chiefs. And I have only one more question:
WHAT exactly are the Chiefs going to rebuild from?
True, it's hard to go any place but up when taking into account the team's horrible performance this year . . . Still, all of the post-season changes will only add up to window dressing if King Carl and his buddy Herm Edwards stay.
On a brighter note, any guy with a few million might want to look up Kelli Croyle . . . She's going to be available soon given that her man proved once and for all that he's not capable of being a starting quarterback in the NFL. In a game that didn't count for anything but draft position, Brodie Croyle couldn't lead his team to victory and secure a starting job for himself next year while playing in a stadium that was mostly empty. Croyle is a backup . . . Nothing better. Any time spent nurturing his talent would be wasted and only prolonging the inevitable conclusion that he doesn't have the nerves for the job and his wife would be much "better off" with a real starter . . . Like Michael Vick or something.
As far as Herm's homecoming, the drama was wasted on me . . . The only thing evident was that both coaches were incompetent and called plays that wouldn't cut it in high school football. Even worse, the game seemed to drag on forever like a nagging reminder from the Football Gods that this has been the worst season in franchise history and the Chiefs haven't really been competitive in more than 25 years.

Whoever wrote the is a moron. You don't bring up a mans wife in an article about football. Herm has done wonders for the defense. Granted the offense has suffered but we are rebuilding. It is his second year. He is human not a god. Give the man some time. GO CHIEFS!!!!

ReplyDeleteUm you mean 35 years. The last time the Chiefs were relevant they played at Municipal Stadium. Bring back the helmets on the field. That was truly cool and unique to KC. No one else did that. Why stop? Bring back KC Municipal Stadium!!!

Tony the quarterbacks in Kansas city are more than qualified to land a good third string job on an arena football team somewhere, so I wouldn't call them completely useless. The real problem with the Chiefs is Carl and Herm both of them wear philly rings on their fingers and are lost in the late 70's. Just watch Hardknocks on HBO and you'll see the eagle rings it's enough to make any Chief fan sick. If they both stay it will be more of the same in 08.

ReplyDeleteNo matter what is said on this blog, the Hunt's own this franchise and they will do what they want to with it. Who knows, they may want to drive it in the ground so they can move it to another city. As for Brodie, it is hard to tell what kind of quarterback he will become. If they don't get some protection a quarterback of Tom Brady's caliber would look like a bum.
ReplyDeleteThat's kind of what scares me about Clark Hunt running this circus. I think Lamar cared about the people of Kansas City. He moved the team there so I think he felt obligated to the people there to put a winner on the field. To Clark, it may just be a business, another tax right off. He grew up in Dallas and he's probably a damn Cowboys fan. I don't have any ideas for improvement because there are too many things wrong right now.
