I guess I participated in the UM system but I don't feel at all connected with all of the border war talk . . . Right now 99.9 percent of all kc area blog posts are either related to tonight's game or death by booze calculations.
It goes without saying that I don't care . . . But I honestly wonder if they'll be enough security, if anyone will mention the racial politics of a mostly white crowd cheering for predominantly Black teams and if there will be many DUI crackdowns in the area . . . These topics have a lot more consequence than bragging rights between mediocre Midwestern schools and they've only been given minor coverage in Kansas City's media.
