The TKC Saturday Night Podcast: Big Feet, Walking Papers and Bad Words

Again, the e-mails have come pouring in . . . A minor correction: GLORIA SQUITIRO CALLED TWO BLACK WOMEN "MAMMY" BUT ONLY ONE OF THEM IS FILING A COMPLIANT WHICH ALSO RELATES TO INEQUITABLE SALARY.

People are skeptical about the claims of this blog, as well they should be: But the truth about this one is going to come out . . . Mayor Funky's people can't keep it secret forever. The story is now common knowledge at City Hall and I hope the parties involved come forth in order to prevent retaliation. Remember, it's always easier to do horrible things in secret. If the Mayor or his people were really any different from the average politico they would address this topic on their blog but it seems that they're happy to continue writing press releases and scheduling data while calling it content and better communication with the public.

Nevertheless, the smell of racial discrimination and bigotry carry pretty far (like bad foot odor) and I just don't think this kind of thing can be swept under the rug. People will find out about the serious misstep of the Mayor's Chief Political Adviser from the mainstream media . . . Now it's just a matter of time.

Actually, I'm curious as to what their tactic of defending the move will be . . . The Funky Administration appointed a member of an extremist group and called it "diversity" so I wonder if this will be an issue of "freedom of speech?" My guess is that they will refuse to comment for as long as possible citing the issue as an internal, private personnel matter . . . So much for promises of transparency.

Still, my position stands: Gloria Squitiro needs to apologize and step down from her duties at City Hall!!!

Anything less would be an insult to every person of color in Kansas City who has worked hard to achieve their status and deserves better treatment than casual, insulting name calling from the top politico in Kansas City.

Therefore, tonight's podcast is dedicated to songs about talking, words and Gloria's big feet which have now wound up in her mouth.

Thank you for reading this week. It's nice to know there are so many thoughtful, intelligent and socially conscious people reading this dumbass joke blog. Have a fun and safe weekend!

  1. Tony needs to apologize for far more slurs than Gloria Squitiro may or may have uttered.

  2. Damn you would think we had inherited thirty to forty million rocket scientists and brain surgeons rather that a rag tag disease ridden clog of bedbug laden barefoot beggars like Tony.

  3. Tony does not need to apologize to Gloria and more than he needs to apologize to George Wallace or David Duke.

  4. I have been noticing Gone Mild's Dan dancing around the blogs trying to avoid answering questions about his anointed mayor, and his hideous wife.

Dan had better be careful because this reflects on every candidate or officeholder he endorses.

Dan could be come the Kiss of Political Death. Like being endorsed by Fred Phelps.

  5. tony would know all about racial discrimination and bigotry. it's not your job to stand up for every person of color in KC you stupid beaner.

  6. You know what, it is just disgusting that we have to watch this poor excuse for a mayor make a fool out of our city.

He bashed has the Latino Community and leaders, he has bashed the African American Community and leaders, and now his wife after numerous already too many sad actions (see: black part of town, calling police only to minority area meetings) wants to go after City Hall workers????????

What the hell is her problem? How dare this lady disgrace two hard working city employees like that!

These ladies are busting their ass for close to poverty wages and she wants to go off and call them "mammy"?? Bye Gloria. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Our city can do way better than both you, your husband and their joke staff.

  7. I am outraged. Let's get a grassroots effort together to recall mayor Funky!
    Just kidding.
    Bwahahahahahahhaha!!!!!

  8. Pot meet Kettle. It is ironic that all of these people are calling for someones head based on a sindle unsubstantiated rumor.
    What a bunch of hippocrits

  9. Tony who's your source?

Or is this just another La Raza Psych-Op job?

    ReplyDelete
  10. This is not something new people. Remember her comments about "the black part of town" and sending armed guards in minority areas only, when the Mayor speaks?

The fact that she is his Chief "Political Advisor" aka over controlling wife is a daily tragedy for our city.

    ReplyDelete
  11. "This is not new" is dead on and that is what makes it so pathetic that this city's reputation is still being trashed by Funk and Gloria.

    ReplyDelete
  12. They paid Funkhouser a campaign hack, Crispin Rea, more than a career attorney and bought themselves a EEOC complaint. Young Mr. Rea describes himself as:

"I am a 21 year old college student double majoring in Political Science and Public Administration at Park University. I will be a senior this fall and will be finishing up my Bachelor’s degrees next spring. Before working in the Mayor’s Office I ran Cross Country and Track at Park on an athletic scholarship.... I don’t have an exact title in the Mayor’s Office. I am serving in the capacity of a Neighborhood Advocate or Community Outreach Officer. I am on the Communications Team contributing to the blog, organizing the town hall meetings and gathering information from neighborhood leaders and groups...."

I am not sure if Gloria got verbally offensive before or after the complaint was filed.

  13. Tony, check out KC Blue Blog where they posted a supportive tip of the blogger hat to your original post. Dan, of Gone Mild, defender of all things Shoe-less Squitiro and her consort, has now started to use the "everybody has done it" defense with regard to the Mammy-gate issue.

The change in defense sounds like this crony of KC's First (disFunKtional) Family can no longer pretend that nothing happened.

  14. I don't know about 'everybody' but Tony does 'it' on nearly a daily basis.

  15. but not in a work or public service situation 2:06

  16. Tony, have you received a cease and desist letter from the Mayor, his office or any legal representation thereof concerning the Mammy allegation?

If not, I think the silence speaks volumes.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Tony is best ignored. He is the ultimate attention whore. When the Star and KMBZ stop enabling him he will fade away.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Dopes it really make a difference, anon 2:35.

    ReplyDelete
  19. By Tony's logic, all Gloria has to do is claim any alleged statements were intended as a joke.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The thing is Gloria is not running a joke blog. She's serving the Mayor, she's at the top of City Hall looking down at the minority community.

Everybody is already talking about this story who works at City Hall and plenty of people think the Mayor's wife was way out of bounds.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Talk is cheap.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Perhaps Tony should stick to telling jokes instead of trying to play political games. He can't have it both ways.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anon 6:26pm that's exactly right. Gloria isn't running a joke blog she is an agent of the mayor's office and should be held responsable. She has clearly violated the harrassment policies which are clearly shown to ALL city employees and agents within the mayor's office.

Crispin Rea doesn't even deserve the term campaign hack. That's too much credit. The kid, like all Funk staff members is an inexperienced joke with no clue on society. For God's sake he is a Latino that worked for Charlie Shields the biggest anti-latino elected official in Missouri.

  24. When the minority community apologizes for the unwed mothers, the murder rate, the gang crimes, and the general unkemptness of the east side, I'll apologize on behalf of Funk.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think that it's important to remember that none of this would have happened if the black guy had been elected mayor. Every eastside murder is more blood on Funky's hands.
So how's that recall effort going, d-bags?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anon 12:35am reminds me to ask "Has anyone else noticed that all of the Funk fans on here are blatant racists?"

Unwed mothers? More than 50% of America is divorced, and they aren't minorities you moron. I live in an area in east kc that is full trash, and there isn't a minority on my block.

  27. So you're fucking your own neighborhood jack d? One of those people with cars in your yard? I'm not surprised. How many children have you fathered? Can you count?
