"Funkhouser put city No. 2"

Credit where it's due: Steve Penn wrote a killer column today.

I know, I know, I'm not normally a fan of the guy's work but I appreciate the poop reference by the headline writer who isn't being that subtle.

Money line:

"Kansas Citians now know what Funkhouser meant when he pledged to be the change agent in city government. Little did we know the change he was referring to would take us back to a time when the city’s stance on fundamental racial matters was in question."

But now it is.

Incidentally, Penn refutes the notion that Mayor Funky is a racist . . . Instead, Penn (who formerly supported the Mayor quite a bit) comes to the conclusion that Funkhouser is just plain stubborn.
