The Minutemen are moving their convention to Kansas City!!!
I'm sure the profit of a few hundred bucks will more than replace the $15 Million that La Raza and the NAACP would have brought in . . . Additionally, this is WONDERFUL for Kansas City's image - Thank you Mayor Funkhouser!!!
Also, don't even try to contend that this convention even comes close to "making up for" the business that these creeps are potentially costing this town. I've been to at least a half a dozen of their meetings (TKC cleans up better than you think) and they've had a grand total of 13 people at all of them.
Still, I'd never turn away business from KC . . . Come one and come all and I'm only hoping that nobody will fall into their cheap attempt for publicity and protest their meager gathering, it'd be more appropriate to plan something counter (and better attended) on the other side of town.

ReplyDeleteWhay hasn't the city sent out a press release about this?! All the business we are losing in NAACP and LaRaza conventions we can make up in hate group conventions. This is awesome news! Maybe KC can even put in a Hate Museum in the new entertainment district so they'll have something to do in between conference sessions.

We already have 'a bunch of gun toting' citizens. They may not be conservative and I'm pretty sure that drive-by's with an Uzi is not of the 'Texas mindset' but the 'gunslinger' attitude is certainly part of the current gun culture here in KC even without the Minutemen coming to town.

Anyone that thinks The Minutemen are a positive organization needs to watch the videos on these sites. I was amazed at what I found researching them. They verbally and physically attack not just latino immigrants, but korean immigrants, women, catholics and homosexuals. All of which are done on video. The San Diego President even attempts to run over a woman with a video camera.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention the national president's family left him for saying very crazy, racist and hateful things to people of many groups and he was arrested more than once for chasing people with a gun on federal property while screaming that we are under attack.
After watching these videos its clear. This is not just a racist/hate group, this is a very prejudice, sexist group that preaches nothing positive.
