Dog days, "woof there it is" and your well feed pooch is more important than poor people

A local blogger points us toward one of the many useless letters to the Star. This one seems hand picked in order to make their readers seem just as vapid and ill informed as anyone who would rely solely on print media for their information. Apparently, there is strength in the dwindling numbers of print news readers.

Anyway, here's the big revelation: Dog parks aren't for dogs . . . They are an "amenity for taxpaying citizen" who value dogs more than people.

Obviously, the KC Dog Blog advocates for the rights of people with lots of spare time to pamper their animals.

KC's blogosphere cares!!! (About the hobbies of middle class white people)

  2. Wow, you will try to turn anything into a racial argument. What about the fact that dog parks attract more people to the parks in all parts of town, all types of people. Last time I rolled through the part of town where the non-whites live, on my pampered white-guy ultra elitist mode of transportation (bicycle), many of those houses had dogs too.

So they wouldn't like to walk their dogs either?

  4. Kudos Tony from your buddy Lewis. You're remembering what I tole you about looking for racism everywhere. Why just today my fries were cold at lunch and I just know it's because of the white power infrastructure trying to keep me down. I'm writing a column about it right now.

  8. Tony, I do a lot of volunteer work in the animal community, even helping poor people with their pets; yes poor people deserve to have pets too. But dog owners are tax payers too and also deserve a share of the green space. After all I don't have small children, but my tax dollars pay for playground equipment, I don't play tennis, but my tax dollars pay for tennis courts - get the picture?
