Beyond the Butler Bloch Building

I don't like change . . . I really don't like change that's inappropriately labeled as progress . . . However, it's also very funny when the grand designs of rich, white people who think they know better than everyone else end up bringing about an expensive looking building that looks like a prefabricated garage.

Anyway, it normally kills me to link to anything having to do with the Pitch but they have some decent photos of the inside of the Bloch building . . . In fact they're almost as good as the images that local blogger Emaw posted about two months ago.

I guess all of this is to note that if you have/had an extra 500 bucks lying around and you "love" art and bad design then then tonight the Nelson-Atkins is the place to be . . . Or you could go to any car port in Independence and probably get the same view.
