Anybody else think that Norman Rockwell's work was basically just American propaganda?

Norman Rockwell Exhibit Opens At Union Station . . . Sure, I know that he was into Civil Rights and all but there's something just strange about his stuff . . . Like behind it all there's somebody holding a knife or maybe it was just a way to make art so boring that watching a TV becomes a better option . . . Maybe that's why the dude has so many fans.
