So what is it that Pat Gray does?

Pat Grey is off the Gottstein campaign . . . She says that he's got his hands full with the Brooks campaign . . . Which would make sense if there was evidence of one single thing the guy has done on behalf of Brooks.
Crashing the Funkhouser
So what is it that the guy does exactly? I've seen him make some pretty decent commercials on behalf of Country Club Kay . . . But in this campaign there hasn't been much of anything in the media on behalf of his clients . . . Gottstein grabbed the election through buying up all the endorsements in this town . . . A smart move that nobody really needs to have a marketing firm to tell you how to do . . . A phone book and 100k will suffice.
Obviously, Funkhouser is running the better media campaign with The Star as his copilot. Their fairly slanted coverage has proven to be priceless and Internet bloggers seemed to have helped with their naive belief that anything in this town is going to change just because a nerdy guy is now in charge . . . Every bloggers wet dream.
Still, it's hard not to admire the spirit of the Funkhouser supporters.
A recent photo from The Star shows the spirit of fun that his followers have captured in support of what could be the most unstylish politician this town has ever seen.

Very nice! Again, I think this shows that regular folk have a lot more insight into how the media works than paid professionals like Pat Gray . . . Funky ass photos are definitely what people want to see.
Finally, from my perspective . . . The fact that Gottstein fired Gray in favor of Enrique Chaurand and the Vista Communications Group once again proves to me that . . . In so many instances . . . Mexicans are simply willing to work harder than upper class white people who seem to rely solely on their privilege . . . I know, that's not a popular political point but it certainly explains population trends and how you got your produce this morning.

I knew Pat Gray many years ago. If he's working for Brooks, then that immediately pushes my vote to Funkhouser - no two ways about it.
In regards to Alvin Brooks, I think he is the better man. The Funk I think is a disgrace to politics. He is a classic example of what some people call a "flip flopper."
As to Beth Gottstein, she is a nut job who has no business being in politics. She can't speak, she has no mind of her own, and she cannot control her outbursts. It will be a sad day if she is elected to represent Kansas City and the district she resides in....She can't even manage herself.
I think the picture with pro-Funk miniskirt is a classic example of the spirit of the Funk campaign. So many regular people in Kansas City are pretty jazzed about having a mayor who is intelligent, will listen to different input and weigh the facts and, yes, even change his mind if it's warranted. Really, it's a breath of fresh air from the business-as-usual where politicians will "stay the course" even when they're headed in the wrong direction. It'll be a good day in KC when Funk is elected mayor!
Please don't confuse a leader with a graduate of Ringling Brothers clown school. TKC is right in that it's never as simple as one or the other. And for that reason alone, I will error on the side of optomism and vote Brooks. Too bad there is no one to save us from Beth and Doug. So here again, I'll take the Beth over the 'I'm out to get mine..Gamble'. He's a new player playing the same old tune.
For those who may not know, Pat Gray is also working for John Sharp out in the sixth.
