Yeah, I'm a nerd like that . . . And any true Star Wars geek will tell you that the worst movie in the canon is Return of the Jedi which was originally known by the much cooler title . . . Revenge of the Jedi. It's a controversial stance I know but Jar-Jar > Ewoks. Seriously, even in 1983 I knew that George Lucas was pretty much a fraud when it came to his contribution to the franchise . . . The best movie of the bunch . . . Empire Strikes Back was mostly the creation of hired guns doing the grunt work while Lucas rolled around in his merchandising money.
But I digress . . .
The point here is that Chuck Eddy isn't yet finished causing misery for the folks on Red Bridge Road . . . Apparently, using some kind of old, voting/parliamentary move (i.e. Jedi Mind Trick) he is forcing a vote in order to TAKE AWAY PRIVATE PROPERTY on Red Bridge Road.
The folks out that way are calling it "Eddy's Ram Through" . . . While I think revenge is the best term, especially given the fact that Eddy's miserable performance in the election was party due to him creating so much bad press for himself when it came to his treatment of these folks.
Additionally, the Red Bridge.org crowd has a way for you to help in their struggle by way of e-mail that they've set up for you but you can tweak it if you'd like . . . The force is strong with these folks so the least you could do is help them out before Eddy's Death Star vote crushes their efforts and sets a dangerous president for any place that you call home.
It's Chuck's last ditch attempt to build the Chuck Eddy Memorial Bridge.

ReplyDeletecome of the story I am going to relate. But Alvin Brooks has been just as bad on Red Bridge road all along. He lies all the same lies, but he escapes criticism.
Can anything wonderful come of this story? Since Alvin is fond of Dickens, let us hope the ghost of Chuck Eddy will pay him a midnight visitation.
I liked the "Chuck Eddy Memorial Bridge" comment! However, those of us who live along Red Bridge Road enjoy our neighborhood as it is...without the JohnsonCountyesq roads. Yes, it can be difficult to get out of the driveway during the afternoon rush - but then again, where isn’t it? Once the MODOT morons get the Grandview Triangle (and NO - I will not call it that new, softer, kinder, revisionist, moronic name) completed, there shouldn’t be as much traffic. Please don’t believe the spin Chuck Eddy and Alvin Brooks’ mouthpiece (John Fairfield) put on it… because we can tell you “If you build it… they will come”. And by this we mean more cars and lots of semi-trucks for the new NAFTA Hub at Richards Gebaur. This will only cause the deterioration of our neighborhood. But maybe that is what the current City Council is trying to accomplish.
