We can all examine motives or Don't get on the Black list of The Pitch (or lack thereof)

Alonzo Washington keeps turning down The Pitch for interviews (and you know that's rare for him! Badump-bump-bump) So now The Pitch is attacking him in their editorial content. Even worse, they attempt to lay out the inner-workings of Kansas City's Black Community when the minority hiring rate at that newspaper and New Times/Village Voice publications across the country is pretty abysmal. So honestly, how would they really know? Of course, smarter bloggers than myself dishing on what it's like to be a person of color and work someplace like the "lily white" Pitch and it seems like it's pretty bad and just as stereotypical as I joke when all they can do is write hit pieces regarding minorities while unquestioningly praise every hipster project that comes across their desk. I know to some extent, it's all about demographics . . . But damn.
