Jalapenos throughout History!!!

Today, the Star runs an interesting story about Chilies and of course it's easy to relate this article not only to local Latino restaurants but also to the fact with 6,000 years of history in this hemisphere . . . Brown people and their spicy food aren't going anywhere anytime soon . . . However, I'm a new fan of Anthony Bourdain and his new show on the Travel Channel and I was surprised when he revealed that it's actually Americans who like their food really, stereotypically hot and Mexicans are often annoyed by this . . . Odd . . . The more you know . . .

  1. There is an excellent book written by Jean Andrews titled "Peppers: The Domesticated Capsicum". It is a great referance book that contains histories and resource information on a wide variety of peppers. The book is produced by the University of Texas Press.
