It's a cold world, dog

While the freezing cold over the past couple of days has most likely reduced the number of homeless people in Kansas City by a considerable margin I'm glad that the TV news still has a warm place in their heart for puppies as a report of an abandoned dog found frozen to the ice in Kansas City seems to have picked up national attention . . . Contrastingly, when stinky, homeless bums are found frozen to the ice the only attention they normally get is an annoyed call for a shovel from whoever is (unfortunately) charged with cleaning them up . . . As this town slowly turns into a collection of luxury living spaces and shopping centers it's nice to see that, at the very least, the media still pours affection on dogs because they are cute even if people are portrayed as nothing more than visual blight.
