Will the scrolls save Union Station?

I have no idea how they came up with this figure but I'm guessing that it involves voodoo, chicken bones and a lot of high hopes: Still, Union Station estimates that as many as 200,000 visitors will see the Dead Sea scroll exhibit. Ten thousand tickets have already been purchased. At 20 bucks a ticket that's nearly enough to cover January's heating bill for the behemoth Kansas City cash drain.

Still, I have a hard time believing anything about the Dead Sea Scrolls, even hopeful numbers that will never be confirmed. Now, a tortilla giveaway featuring the face of Christ in a random batch, that's a magically delicious idea that's sure to draw a crowd.

  1. I realize we disagree on Union Station (but I still love ya - lol) I love that building, and I think the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit will be awesome.
