Rabid Taxation

In news that will ultimately lead to the taxation of the air you breathe, in the Northland they are considering a requirement that all new dog owners to must have liability insurance.

And while I'm sure this is just ONE MORE OF MANY HURDLES that responsible pet owners are going to have to jump through I doubt the measure would do anything to benefit public safety because it's simply YET ANOTHER TAX under the guise local government giving a damn. In taxing new pet owners I simply wish they'd cut to the chase and put a tax on smiles and warm sentiments as well.

In somewhat related dog news, a local couple is searching for a stolen show dog which could mean that somewhere in this city . . . Somebody is dinning on classy Korean food tonight!
