Nobody cares about Kansas City enough to blow it up

A suspicious device that had nearly every TV news station in town atwitter turned out to be nothing more than old car parts. Of course there's a bomb threat in this town every month and (thankfully) seldom does something blow up. It makes me wonder if this kind of thing reveals the paranoia all over this country when we realize that car parts or cookies can't hurt us and if the "war of terror" is going to kill somebody you love the method will most likely be a military draft and not a random act of violence. Oh, and just so you don't think I'm crazy . . . You're much more likely to be killed by lightning or randomly shot on the Eastside than either one of those previously mentioned scenarios.
