Sebelius basically gives Kline the finger in what is most likely an answer to your question, "Why is the term bi-partisan a joke??
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius refused Wednesday to endorse recently defeated Attorney General Phill Kline's selection as Johnson County district attorney, but Kline's appointment became official nevertheless. State law denied Sebelius the power to block Kline's appointment once GOP activists in Johnson County settled on it. However, it is unusual for a governor to forgo the formality of signing a certificate of appointment. As always, it's nice to know that somebody is looking out for the interests of people in Johnson County. However, the final FU directed toward Kline this year doesn't really seem to mean anything other than possibly reminding the man why he hates women and why they don't deserve power, or privacy . . . Also, remind me never to get in trouble JoCo for the next few years or I'm pretty sure the Crazy Kansas will have me aborted.
The Democratic governor said she refused "out of a deep and enduring respect for the will of the people." In the Nov. 7 general election, Kline received 41 percent of the vote statewide but only 35 percent in Johnson County.
