Only a few weeks ago Larry Johnson told us all that Herm Edwards was the only guy who understood him because they were both Black. Now, with a string of losses and some downright unimpressive performances by Johnson . . . The running back is starting to place blame regardless of color.
"They need to fix it. I'm getting tired of this. It's tough running against a brick wall until you break it open, you know? You see other teams do different things; you see different teams react differently. Like I said, you don't have to bang your head against a brick wall hard enough to crack a hole in it. There are other ways of doing different things."So I guess what we should learn here is that the kinsmanship one might feel with a member of their own race and someone who has gone through a similar struggle only lasts for a few losing games and that's when all bets are off and it's time to start telling someone else how to do their job even though it's painfully obvious that you can't do yours. Cool, because that's exactly how it works with everybody else across cultural and racial lines . . . It's important to break down myths about other cultures even if it means no more sexy stereotypes about penis size or sexual stamina (which I'll have to uphold all on my own . . . TKC is strong like bull).
Johnson said opposing defenses have made adjustments to what the Chiefs like to do and the Chiefs haven't responded.
"When you do the same things over and over again, a good defense ... they're going to do things to stop you," Johnson said. "If you don't switch it up, if you don't do different things, that's how it goes. It's a good defense. We played them a lot of weeks ago, and they see what we do on tape, you know, we never changed a bit of it, and that's what happens."
Anyway, the point is that throughout the season I've taken time to note Johnson's poor character as evidence by his silly celebratory hand gestures, his penchant for beating women along with the fact that he's overrated and NOT a team player. And as this season unfolds to its sad and inevitable conclusion . . . I've been proven right. Johnson is the worst kind of selfish, egotistical, overrated, crybaby NFL player and he has lived down to every expectation I've ever had of him. And just as there is no hope of the Chiefs making the playoffs this year, there is also little evidence that Johnson will contribute to the team when it really counts. Finally, this hypothesis is supported by all the time that feeble old man Trent "Please retire" Green spent on his back given that Johnson can't or won't block.
I think Larry should learn how to block and then he can critize his teammates... he almost got Trent killed last Sunday.
ReplyDeleteLarry is an idiot. Always has been, always will be.
ReplyDeleteNow that the Chiefs are out of it (again) he'll go on some drinking binge and slap a few "ho's" around.
Same struggles? Does that mean growing up in the suburbs while his dad was a college football coach? What a joke.
