A bit of theatrical news

  • The Granada in KCK is pretty much a bust but the owner (Butch Rigby) has yet to give up hope as the area around Minnesota Avenue receives a lot of attention from politicos and developers in hopes that the district still might be "the next Crossroads."

  • In other news involving a second act, even after voters have drawn the curtain, State Sen. Matt Bartle, a Lee's Summit Republican, and state Rep. Jim Lembke, a St. Louis Republican, said they will tour the state Tuesday to launch their effort to undo a recent constitutional amendment to allow broad stem-cell research in Missouri. Strangely, I think the only thing this political trick will manage to do is clone the defeat that the Republicans took during the midterm election given the fact that a few of them clearly haven't learned to abandon their sense of entitlement that comes with holding the majority.

Ugh, now I'm done with trying to be clever . . . And scene.
