One more reason why "redevelopment" rarely works

A recent Ward Parkway robbery of more than 60k worth of merch offers a clear demonstration of why simply building new stuff doesn't really change anything . . . The place has the same problems it always had . . . Mainly, it's not out in JoCo and therefore closer to big city crime. Additionally, given what I've read about the diamond trade, I'm loath to call it an outright case of robbery. Sure, violent crime is bad and wrong and the bible BUT everyone (should) know that thieves get ripped off worse than anybody else.
