The Minutemen are mostly a media created phenomenon

The biggest PR stunt for mean white people since the advent of the gated community is getting big coverage from The Pitch this week. I'm guessing that the story of local Minutemen is more about crazy white people since The Pitch doesn't bother to interview many (any) Local Latinos on the subject of small insane supremacist club. It's the same problem that all local news stations seem to have on the subject. Not only are they over-reporting this tiny contingent of exceptionally nasty people but also they fail to report on the people in the Latino Community in KC on the opposite side of this conflict. Most local news outlets are either too lazy or ignorant about Latinos in KC to get even as much as a quote. This is the same cookie cutter coverage you're seen countless times before . . . Only now there are coupons for local restaurants in between the pages. Use them, they're the only way you'll benefit from this piece.

Update: If you're really interested in the subject of The Minutemen in KC (because you're racist) KCUR reported on the fledgling group a few months ago in a much less tawdry manner.
