McCaskill uses cripple as crutch

Clearly, I have poor taste and nobody pays attention to me but I'd like to think there are some things I wouldn't do . . . But maybe if I really needed a crippled person who everyone loves to carry me in a close race I might be tempted. Desperate times and what not . . . Thing is, there's something about exploiting people who are desperately clinging on to false hope that's really cruel . . . That's why I stopped dating fat chicks.

Anyway, Michael J. Fox recently taped a commercial for Claire McCaskill that shows tremendous courage on his part and makes her look like a ghoul for using someone with medical problems for political gain. Dragging around her mom was just cheesy but this commercial is truly crass, cynical and calculating.

If there was a way I could vote for a cure for Michael J. Fox I would but Claire McCaskill doesn't have much to do with that and most likely any stem cell research benefits will come far too late for Fox no matter how much hope he's holding out. Personally, I think stem cell research is great but that's not what this ad is about . . . This ad isn't about science, it's about stringing people along and providing hope where none exists . . . It's about politics.

  1. I believe that Mr Fox knows exactly what he is doing here. He knows he's terminal, he is just working for all of our future's in supporting candidates that he believe's in. He's made campaign appearence's in Michigan, Missouri, Washington, Nevada, and California. He's made TV ads in Missouri and Washington. He belives in Stem Cell Research, and is vocal in doing so.

  2. Just wait. Next week she will be appearing at campaign rallies with the corpses of Harry Truman and Mel Carnahan. This woman knows no shame.

  3. Tony Michael J. Fox is doing commericals in any state that has a chance to vote on Stem Cell. If Im comparing Michael J Fox vs. Terrorism Fear to Win Commercials...I would say Michael J Fox is the high road.

  7. The sad thing about this is adult stem cell research has much more promise than embryonic stem cell research does. Fox is being mislead into supporting something that has less potential of coming up with an actual cure. And I'm sorry but I do find it despicable that McCaskill is exploiting him this way.

I'm a big fan of Fox and am disappointed to see him doing this.

Please, Michael J. Fox is grown adult who willingly lent his time in filming a commercial for the McCaskill campaign. I'm sure he read the script for the ad and chose to film it as a consenting adult. And I'm sure he's more aware than anyone else that a miracle cure for Parkinson's isn't going to instantly appear if Amendment 2 passes.

C'mon! At least be honest and say you hate a terminally ill guy because he's in an ad for McCaskill. No one's buying your faux sympathy bullshit.

  11. Your right Tony. Claire is using crippels for personal gain. McCaskill should take Talents view and just fuck the goddam cripples down the sewer. I mean God must have given Micheal Parkins for a good reason. It is pure devil talk to support research that would undo Gods will!

LMC, do you have any further info to back that statement? I've never seen anything that's come out and said that given the current federal restraints on embryonic research.
