Below is evidence to the contrary, which should provide one of many reasons why living in a one newspaper town puts you at a disadvantage as far as facts are concerned. The Star is heavily invested in the downtown construction boom, so obviously they have a motive to lead the (inaccurate) cheers no matter what kind of crusty old data and self reporting (unverified) scams they must publish in order to do so.
