The blog has been hurting since I've had computer problems but it's not because I'm not looking for good stuff, there just hasn't been much that's interested me lately about this city and our mediocre sports teams. (Note: I did get a great link from quantelo and I'm working on a post for later)
Rather than fake it, I figure it's just better to throw up fewer posts. Personally, I blame local female TV reporters (read: two levels removed from waitresses) but things may pick up still . . . Scumbags who use tired old phrases say that only boring people are bored and I have to admit that I've been putting a lot more effort into more productive aspects of my writing lately so it's not like I haven't had other things to concentrate on . . . I think I might take a nap and start off with a clean slate later in the day or maybe not. The great thing about this blog is that I can pick it up where I left off with no problem . . . Very much like most TV dramas that usually involve white people in some kind of peril.
On a personal note, Fall is my favorite time of year if only because it means better TV shows and more stories about the ongoing drama involving the KC School District, misguided notions about its renaissance and maybe a few more related arson stories.
Also, the thing I'm really looking forward to this season is reading Joe's book while intermittently looking up to watch the Chiefs lose on TV.
