The Star has supported the concept of building a rolling roof at the sports complex, especially because it would allow Kansas City to play host to a Super Bowl in 2015. However, the project should not move forward without more money from the Chiefs.Actually, the Chiefs paying for their own money making ventures isn't really that creative. It's time to get creative.
It's a departure from where the Star was only a few weeks ago, namely: "We'd like the teams to buck-up more, but if they refuse, it's cool...KEEP THE TEAMS!!!" I wonder what could possibly explain any semblance of fiscal responsibility at the Star? Maybe they are planning on endorsing a new tax to pay for the sewers, and need to look like they are holding the line.
