Steve Harvey has little tolerance for anything other than ugly hats

Hate to say it, but Steve Penn files a pretty great column to day regarding Steve Harvey's recent appearance in KC.

I don't know if any of Harvey's insights qualify as jokes but apparently had some pretty harsh things to say about hip-hop, radio stations that play hip-hop and people who make jokes about bitches women.
'Where did we go wrong as black people and make the turn where we stopped writing love songs and started calling our women out of their name?' Harvey said. 'What year did it occur in that we started calling our mothers, our aunts and grandmothers out of their name? We can't sit around letting that continue to go down.'
This may be true but it's not funny. And I've always believed that was the whole point of being a comedian.

In fact, I've always found Harvey's act was too reminiscent of one of my uncles complaining about everything under the sun. I guess it's a good thing that his show is doing well but I've always thought he needed more jokes about ho's, more references to hip-hop and maybe a series of diss jokes directed at other comedians to make him more relevant.
