To me, Country Club Kay Barnes sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher whenever she makes a speech. All I hear is "wonk, wonk, wonk." Apparently, in her recent state of the city address she took on a few of her critics (75% of the city) and urged people ignore any concerns about the local real estate bubble bursting, rising interest rates, this town's debt load or KC's shitty sewers and even shittier streets . . . All is well and long as you believe it and greater fools keep on buying luxury urban housing.
