Funny thing, I read local blogs daily and what I see is some of the most informed and well-read people in the metro . . . But you wouldn't know that by watching the local news. In fact, if you watched local news coverage regarding blogs you would only see teenage school girls beating the shit out of each other over stuff spewed back and forth on Xanga. And while that's interesting, it's certainly not representative of the local blogging community. So take heart bloggers, you have just an inkling of how Black people feel when it comes to media depictions.
Dude, I am the king of media disrespect when it comes to blogging in Kansas. Every single piece -- two in the Wichita Eagle, one in the J-World -- mentioned all of the Technorati toppers for Kansas at the time ... except one.

Having grown up (as much as that is possible) in Excelsior Springs, can't say I'm surprised.
