Keep your laws off my lack of commitment

Channel 9 reports that the city council in Blackjack, MO has rejected a measure allowing unmarried couples with multiple children to live together. A bi-racial couple (of course) could soon be forced to move out of the town.

Olivia Shelltrack and Fondrey Loving were denied an occupancy permit after moving into a home in this St. Louis suburb because they have three children and are not married.

The troubling thing about this story is not that the local government is up in their Kool-Aid but simply the fact that the "live-in loophole" for men who want in-house poon tang and maid service is facing a serious threat.

Obviously, the state wants to make sure that the guy picks up the tab if anything goes sour in the relationship. Marriage is the best way to ensure that the guy will always be forced to pay for his rugrats and the future (depressing) dating life of his current partner should there be a divorce. But the guy has the right to look out for his own interests as well . . . There is no better way to keep a woman in check than to keep on promising her that you'll marry her one day. This guy has amazingly been able to work that trick for more than a decade. Bravo.

This is a clear cut case of trying to legislate morality but it's also a health and public safety issue. If men are not allowed to use their skill and manipulate women into no win situations then clearly the government is pushing us all toward frequenting only prostitutes and strippers . . . And those bitches can't cook.
