Sadly, there are such weird ways of marketing stuff I'm sure that some advertising executive is sitting around right now and trying to think of ways to make this work to the company's advantage. Hell, they used to promote salsa with references to lynching so it's really not that much of a stretch. Instead of "get a rope" there could be a series of commercials touting the brand and it's "abuse" of the competition or noting that the hot sauce is so good it's downright abusive.
