"I think you're an a******."

Priceless. KCTV 5 reports that they have a letter which cites Missouri Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson finally giving an honest answer to a pain-in-the-ass busybody who actually took the time to write their Congressperson.

A southeast Missouri man received one from Republican Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson, but got more than he expected. It got ugly at the end after Emerson said she is "honored to serve as your Representative," followed by "I think you're an a******." (profanity)

It bears Emerson's signature and there's a handwritten note from her which says, "p.s. - please forgive the delay in responding."

First of all, I can't tell you how awesome I think this is . . . Secondly, using this stuff against politicos always backfires because it makes anti-social people like myself only admire them more. I remember a long time ago there was a smear ad showing Kit Bond beating the shit out of some hippie reporter and the guy cried "Get your hands off me Mr. Bond!" I've voted for the guy ever since.

Anyway, people often want a dialogue with their politicians but they don't want an honest back and forth. I applaud the Congresswoman for . . . Well, I just think it's funny and cool when politicos share how they really feel about their constituents. Honesty is so rare nowadays.
