Because I'm a minority, I think I have a different take on spirituality. If you read Stephen King's work or watch the movies made from his books you'll realize that all non-whites are more in touch with the spirit world than their pasty counterparts. I believe the correct term is "Magical Black People" when referring to almost every dark skin character in King's oeuvre. Similarly, the same can be said of other minorities with Asians having lots of Ancient Chinese Secrets and even the Indians working at Quickie Marts are somehow able to draw on the otherworldly advice of Gandhi and
Because I grew up Catholic, I had a propensity to believe shit that just wasn't likely and nobody thought less of me. Devotion to a Pagan goddess disguised as the mother of the Big JC was almost expected. Additionally, my childhood was full of ghost stories and superstitious dialogue. I had a cousin who swears that she saw a vision of her own death by merely splashing water on her face and screaming "Bloody Mary" into a mirror. She said the mirror foretold her dying in a car accident which is kind of a let down if you think about it.
I've often contended that many minorities are raised to think about the next world when white people are busy ruling this one. Harsh, maybe or maybe it's just wishful thinking. All of the folklore surrounding the great beyond seems to indicate that it's a place where justice is metered out. That seems to suggest that there will be a lot of white people locked up, broke, without political representation and working for pennies a day in the sweet hereafter. Again, wishful thinking. While I'm sure that God is a big, fat Jamaican woman with a lovely gap toothed smile . . . From all that I've seen, Jesus is white and he looks like Ted Nugent's older brother.
However, all of these thoughts are really just my speculation about the paranormal and the unlikely. There is a local group of supernatural sleuths who are hard at work trying to find the answer to the Big Question in places that supporters of ID are, as of yet, still scared to tread:
Ghost Vigil provides a comprehensive approach to paranormal investigations. Using historical research, thorough witness interviews, the latest sensor and photographic technology, and investigative patience, our investigators seek to understand the nature of the reported paranormal activity, as well as the causes. Our mission is to gather evidence, whether that evidence points to a natural or paranormal cause, because our only purpose is to find the truth. Our services are always free-of-charge.And that's cool that the good folks at Ghost Vigil aren't trying to make any money off of the false hope of naive people . . . because I'm pretty sure the Democrat fundraising machine wouldn't want anybody muscling in on their territory.
