Fletch lives because my mama told me so

I know that any true fan of the Fletch books would cringe that I mention dumbass Chevy Chase when referring to their addiction but I thought the first movie was good. Maybe that's because it was on HBO about 5,000 times during my formative years (along with The Beastmaster) but I've learned to love the lame comedy and so should Fletch fans if they could ever get their heads out of those damn books and stop using their imagination.

Anyway, local blogger DTS recalls that it was his mom who first got him hooked on the popular books in this post that contains some great links and insights into the series.
