Support our troops with flags made in China

Don't bother to think critically about the war in Iraq because flag waving is the only news worth reporting. An Overland Park man covering his lawn in a sea of flags offers a tribute to the brave men and women overseas.
Spector created the tribute so no one forgets that the war in Iraq is being fought by men and women willing to give their lives for their country. There are 2,100 flags in Spector's front lawn at 6520 W. 106th Street.
What a powerful reminder that living in the suburbs and being dependent on foreign oil just to get the grocery store is what ultimately makes these fossil fuel wars necessary. Not that I'm not patriotic, I guess killing brown people overseas so that those with enough money don't have to live near brown people in this country is the American way. However, don't think for a second that I don't support the troops. I do and I'm putting 2,100 'Vote for Al Gore in the 2000 election' signs in my front yard to prove it.

Full disclosure: I voted for Bush in 2004 not only because Gay Marriage frightens me more than Osama bin Laden but also because I figured that only the dumbass who got the U.S. into Iraq could get us out. I'm not a liberal, I'm just wrong about a lot of things . . . it's similar but I don't have a large collection of witty t-shirts, I take semi-regular showers, and I don't think I'm changing the world by listening to emo bands.
