One year later

One year ago today Bobbie Joe Stinnett was murdered and her unborn baby was cut from her womb. It's not exactly an anniversary you'd want to commemorate but the people of Skidmore are holding a vigil tomorrow night in order to help Becky Harper, the child's grandmother. Apparently, there is a nasty custody battle that involves the details of the case:

Harper is in a legal battle with Zeb Stinnett over her visitation with the child. Stinnett and Harper disagree over how much the child should be told about the circumstances of her mother's death. Earlier this year, Stinnett cut Harper's visitation. Harper petitioned the court to get more time with Victoria Jo.

Lisa Montgomery who was arrested and charged with cutting out the fetus is still in jail. While the rest of us wait for the next wacky item on the local news.
