It requires a minimum of 30 feet, yet they have been routinely giving permits to build on 25 foot lots. They screwed up big-time and now want to change the code to cover their error. Those properties are in Clay, Platte Counties which provides insulation from all of the BS that Kansas City proper residents have to deal with. The zoning code that says only 50ft lots are buildable is inappropriate for Kansas City and more suitable for suburban territories. There should be a happy medium.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10849017.post-40277947142810375232019-10-20T09:49:36.099-05:002019-10-20T09:49:36.099-05:00^^^^ that's such b.s. 9:46 - You're using ...^^^^ that's such b.s. 9:46 - You're using zoning laws to push out longtime residentss and lower income people who have lived in these neighborhoods for years. In many places the world over people live in much smaller sq foot homes or places than we do here. But tearing down perfectly good homes to build smaller homes is stupid in my opinion. There is tons of open ground all around the metro to develop little subdivisions of such. One person or two for that matter livinging in a 200 to 400 square foot home makes more sense to me than 3 people living in a 5000 square foot home.
