Owner Anton Kotar told The Star over the phone late Monday morning that he expects service will last no more than a couple days. “We’re gonna run everything almost half-price and close,” he said.

Kotar said there were several factors that caused him to close: high sales taxes, frustrations with the health department and the economy. The area around his business also felt unsafe at times, he said. 

“I would not open a business in Kansas City ever again,” he said.
