Killa City Moniker Out Of Style?!?

Sadly, this effort and the always violent end-of-summer crime uptick pretty much keep the rough neck tag as part of the local vernacular. 

Still . . . Here's a bit of aspirational advocacy . . . Check-it: 

For years, the nickname “Killa City” has been a well-known moniker through both Kansas City’s and Kansas City, Kansas’ urban cores, appearing in music, social media posts and everyday conversation as shorthand for a city that has long battled gun violence. To some, it is part of the culture, for James Donnelson, better known as J.R. Hoodstar, it has become a label that no longer deserves to survive.

Calls grow to retire 'Killa City' nickname for Kansas City after weekend killing
